As brands and retailers attempt to keep pace in today’s changing retail landscape, consumers spent over $700 billion last year on marketplaces, more than 40% of global ecommerce sales. Marketplaces comprise the fastest-growing segment of ecommerce.

However, operating marketplaces efficiently and making them scalable for both brands and retailers is wrought with friction, holding the market back. That’s where we come in. RevCascade’s intuitive marketplace platform automates the business of dropshipping on an end-to-end basis—everything from product management to inventory control to transaction data. Brands and retailers can operate all of their dropshipping relationships in one, easy-to-operate platform. And that’s huge. 

Like many innovative products, RevCascade was born out of necessity. Back in 2010, Andrea Tobin was knee-deep in launching her cult brand, Marla Cielo. As Andrea developed relationships with dropship ecommerce sites she quickly realized that managing each relationship individually—inputting product details, manually updating inventory, and keeping track of every sale and return—was holding her company back. “If only there was a platform that could automate dropshipping,” Andrea pondered. And the idea for RevCascade was born. 

Over the next several years, Andrea nurtured this idea with former colleague Josh Wexler, a serial entrepreneur who helped propel the Rubicon Project, a pioneer in the online advertising industry, from a pre-revenue start-up through its IPO on the NYSE in 2014.

As marketplaces grew to dominate the ecommerce landscape and more and more retailers launched dropship programs, the need for RevCascade grew. Andrea and Josh enlisted an elite group of former Rubicon execs as their co-founders: Julie Mattern joined as RevCascade’s CTO; Matt Meyer, SVP Operations & Strategy; Samantha Henderson, SVP Business Development; and Kyle Stainer, SVP Product & Engineering. 

Today, one RevCascade integration enables a brand or retailer to dropship with any trading partner of their choice. RevCascade integrates with any existing system used by brands or retailers to facilitate product information management, inventory updates, and transactions. In addition to integrating with disparate systems, RevCascade delivers merchandising tools to enable brands and retailers to stay in complete control of products and pricing. All of this functionality comes to life via RevCascade’s reporting dashboard, which provides a consolidated view of dropshipping revenue for brands and retailers.

Josh Wexler

Co-Founder + CEO

Josh Wexler is a serial entrepreneur who has built several global companies in a variety of industries ranging from retail and consumer products to media and publishing. He is passionate about bringing new ideas to market, building great teams, and creating value. 

Prior to founding RevCascade, Josh built the Rubicon Project (NYSE:RUBI) from a pre-revenue startup to a publicly traded company. He was previously co-founder and CEO of SWMX (SoftWave Media Exchange), a media exchange that automated the radio, cable, and television advertising industry. 

He also co-founded Hypnotic Hats Ltd. (HYP), a global apparel and accessories company whose products were sold by major retailers including Fred Segal, Bloomingdale's, and Foot Locker, among others.

Andrea Tobin

Co-Founder

As the designer and founder of fashion handbag brand Marla Cielo, Andrea inspired the vision for RevCascade. An entrepreneur, designer, and start-up expert, Andrea founded Marla Cielo in 2010. A rising brand at the intersection of art, fashion, and ecommerce, Marla Cielo personifies the free spirit and avant-garde character of New York City. Andrea has also helped build multiple digital advertising companies, including Metacafe. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia University.

Julie Mattern

Co-Founder + CTO 

Julie is an Internet programming pioneer and was co-founder of both Rubicon Project and GradientX, which was acquired by Amobee in 2013. Julie was named in Forbes magazine’s “11 Women Who Started Amazing Companies” and Business Insider’s “28 Most Powerful Women In Mobile Advertising.” As RevCascade’s CTO, Julie oversees product and engineering, and leads innovation and development of the platform.

Kyle Stainer

Co-Founder + SVP Product & Engineering 

A southern California native, Kyle became the Rubicon Project's first product manager in 2008. Seven years and an IPO later, Kyle emerged from Rubicon as a product leader responsible for developing many of Rubicon's most innovative products. As RevCascade’s SVP Product & Engineering, Kyle designs mockups and prototypes, writes specs and code, and onboards and supports RevCascade customers.

Samantha Henderson

Co-Founder + SVP Business Development

Currently an MBA candidate at UCLA Anderson School of Management, Samantha has ecommerce experience in the Home Furnishings industry and also played a key role in Operations, Account Management, and Product at the Rubicon Project. While at Rubicon, Samantha’s responsibilities included running the $100+ million advertiser side of the company. Here at RevCascade, Samantha is responsible for sales development for both brands and retailers.

Matt Meyer

Co-Founder + SVP Strategy & Operations 

Matt was a Leader at Rubicon Project from 2007 through 2012, where he co-authored a patent on yield optimization with Julie. He most recently helped create AOL’s programmatic advertising strategy and solution. He has developed best practices in product, yield management, and client services, among other areas. He is RevCascade’s SVP Strategy & Operations.

Hobie Schliecher

VP Engineering

Hobie’s first job out of University of Michigan was writing code for Macy's department stores. More recently he spent nearly a decade running engineering teams at PriceGrabber.com. Here at RevCascade Hobie heads up our Engineering team.

Matt Cox

VP Operations

Matt has more than 15 years of experience in the tech industry. Getting his start in the late 90s with ADtech/AdServing company L90, Matt helped scale many finance and operations systems as the company moved toward its successful IPO in 2000. In 2007 Matt joined Rubicon Project where again he focused on helping the company scale operations. In June of 2016 Matt joined RevCascade as VP of Operations.
